Same day emergency care

We see emergency cases on the same day whether you are an existing patient or not

We see emergency cases on the same day whenever possible.

At Brush & Floss Dental Center, we treat you as we would treat our own family members. That’s why we see emergency cases on the same day whenever possible.

Dental emergencies can be a threat to your overall oral health if neglected. During the emergency visit, we’ll quickly diagnose the problem, help take the pain away and smooth out the situation. At that time we will answer your questions and go over your options for any follow-up care needed.

Tips when you have a dental emergency

Do you have a dental emergency?

Here are some simple steps you can take to minimize pain before visiting our office for your emergency care.

Broken Tooth – Save any pieces of the broken tooth. Rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress to the area to decrease swelling and pain.

Lost dental filling – try to seal any empty space with temporary tooth filling material from the drug store, or you can use a piece of sugarless gum.

Dental Abscess – If you have a painful, pimple-like swelling on your gums, rinse with salt water and get help immediately. Dental abscesses can lead to infections that are more serious if not treated promptly.

Knocked Out Tooth – Gently rinse off the knocked out tooth without removing any attached tissue. If possible, put the tooth back in the socket. Hold it in place by biting down on gauze.

Object Stuck in Teeth – Try to dislodge the object gently with dental floss.

Toothache – thoroughly rinse your mouth with warm water and floss to remove any food particles. If swelling occurs, apply a cold compress to the painful area.
